MEDSAR works under six standing committees
- Public Health (SCOPH)
- Sexual and Reproductive Health including HIV/AIDS (SCORA)
- Medical Education (SCOME)
- Human Rights & Peace (SCORP)
- Professional Exchanges (SCOPE)
- Research Exchanges (SCORE)
Each one of the six Standing Committees has its own qualities, activities, and field of interest which is the one things that guides our members (Medical Students) when joining a certain standing committee.
Medsar Standing committees are headed by the National Officers, who are elected in The MEDSAR General Assembly, National Officers are is supported by a dream team which enhances and help national officers in implementation of a Standing committee activities and capacity building efforts such as training, campaigns, advocacy, projects, and workshops.
Internationally from the top IFMSA level, each Standing committee has an International Director, who is supported by an international team generally consisting of one Liaison Officer (who is responsible for communication with relevant external partners) and five Regional Assistants (one from each of IFMSA’s five regions) and then on the national level, Standing Committee is coordinated by the National Officer.
